The challenge of the estimation of potential extractible wind power of offshore wind farms.
We are happy to announce our participation in Wind Europe Technology -online- Workshop 2021, happening today and tomorrow.
Today, 15:15 Paris Time, our expert Romain Husson, research engineer at CLS, will give a talk on high-resolution estimation of wind resources at turbine hub height with Synthetic Aperture Radar satellites and machine learning. He will share successful studies that show how SAR combined with AI is an effective method for wind resource assessment.
The potential extractible wind power of offshore wind farms is challenging due to scarcity of wind measurements at hub height and atmospheric profiles implying large uncertainties.
